From the grill, the surf and turf with this delicious pork belly with chef's apple sauce means a perfect lunch. Adventorous! Every bite is exciting!

  • Fat Spoon Cafe @ Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya

    Introduction:

A unique restaurant hidden at the all time jam area- Damansara Utama but yet popular for it's food and concept.

    Ambiance:
The eestaurant offers a unique concept: quaint, warm old-school-classic-meets-contemporary space. The mismatching of the wooden tables, chairs and vintage furnitures with not overly decorated cafe creates a homey old style ambience. And the menu is presented in the "Peter & Jane" story book.

The menu covers Peranakan cuisine, Chinese cuisine as well as Malay and Western cuisine that has a rustic, home cooked flavour, which evokes a comforting familiarity. Besides that, Fat Spoon cafe is famous for its coffee as well.

    Homemade Popiah @ RM 7.90
The Chinese style popiah is famous for it's pork lard taste. But at Fat Spoon Cafe ( a pork free cafe) the popiah is prepared without pork lard. My thoughts -it would be good and I was wrong-Tasted good indeed!

    Cappuccino @ RM 7.90
    Passionly brewed. Aromatic!

Fried Mackerel & Gingerflower Salad @ RM 15.90

  • The George & Dragon Pub @ Bangsar Shopping Centre

Hola!! I am back!! Bringing the legend of St. George to everyone!

What about Saint George and The Dragon Legend? I have just learned it today and will definitely share with everyone at the end of this post.

Back to The George & Dragon Pub, the naming of the pub cum restaurant was inspired by the legend of St George. In the Middle Ages, the dragon was commonly used to represent the Devil, and Saint George was the famous heroic legend. Thus, the George and Dragon is a place where the heroes, princesses and the devils meet, what will happen there, is all up to your imagination!

    Spaghetti Vongole @ RM 36.00

Spagethi with clams, garlic, olive oil and seasonings. Spaghetti Vongole are normally prepared in two ways- with tomato (in rosso) or without tomato (in Bianco). Myself preferred in Bianco, but this is satisfying too besides lacking of the al dente feel.

    Chicken Sandwich @ RM 26.00

Crispy fried well marinated chicken chop with cheese. Just nice!

Drinks: Pineapple Sunshine & Bora Bora Brew @ RM 16.00/each

Enjoyed the time spent here. Cafe Vienna serves coffee, western food and desserts. A perfect place to chill out.
